Terms of use

Last updated October 14, 2026. These terms cover the W3S services at w3s.si and your W3S account. The privacy page says what we collect.

1. Who we are, and what this is

The W3S services and your account are provided by Web3 Services, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("W3S", "we"). Each service is software that performs one kind of legal work under your direction: it drafts from what you tell it, shows you the result, and acts only when you approve.

W3S is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Using a service does not create an attorney-client relationship with W3S or with anyone. Information a service shows about the law is general, is drawn from the sources it cites, and is not advice about your situation. Where a job reaches a point that calls for a lawyer, the service says so and stops. You may hire any lawyer you choose; W3S takes no fee for a referral and does not rank or match lawyers.

2. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address; keep that address secure, because whoever controls it controls the account. One account per person or organization. You are responsible for what is done through your account and for keeping your details current, because some services put them on the documents they make.

3. Paying

  1. Prices are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  2. The W3S subscription is priced per seat per month and opens every service. It renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; the services stay open until the end of the month you paid for and it does not renew. Prices for a running subscription change only with 30 days' notice by email.
  3. Each seat carries a monthly allowance in each service, stated on the service's page. Allowances reset each billing month and do not roll over. Use beyond the allowance is billed per unit at the rate stated on the service's page, on the next monthly invoice; the service shows the rate before you approve a step that will be billed.
  4. Fees that a government body or court charges are yours. A service shows them to you before you approve the step that incurs them.
  5. Refunds: a month already begun is not refunded. Overage billed in error, and any charge caused by a mistake on our side, is refunded in full.

4. Lawyer-only services

Some services are sold only to licensed lawyers and law firms. By using one you confirm that you are admitted and in good standing where you say you are, that every document it produces is reviewed, signed, filed and relied on by you as the responsible lawyer, and that W3S has no role in your representation of any client. We provide technical support only; questions about a matter go to you, not to us. Our price is a flat fee fixed in advance and is never a share of your fees. We do not refer clients to you or pay for referrals.

5. What you may not do

6. Your content and our records

What you type, upload and receive through a service stays yours. You give W3S the permission needed to store it, process it, send it where you approve, and show it back to you. Each service keeps an append-only record of what was drafted, approved, sent and received, with timestamps and hashes, so you can prove what happened; you can export it. We delete your content when you ask, except where we must keep a record of a transaction.

Text in a service is drafted with the help of language models. Where a draft is machine-written, the service says so before you approve it. You are responsible for reading what you approve.

7. What we promise, and what we do not

We will run the service with reasonable care, and we will tell you promptly if something we did caused a request or filing to fail. The service is otherwise provided as is. We do not promise that a government body or court will respond, grant, or decide anything, that a deadline a service computes is correct for your situation if the facts you gave it are not, or that the service is never interrupted.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or the outcome of any legal matter. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending

You can close your account at any time by writing to us; we delete it as the privacy page says. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after notice where we reasonably can, with a refund of the unused part of the month.

9. The law and the forum

These terms are governed by the law of Oregon, without regard to its conflict rules, and disputes go to its courts, except that a consumer keeps any rights the law of their home state gives them and that cannot be waived.

10. Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and we email account holders at least 14 days before a change that affects what they pay or may do. Questions: david@w3s.si.
